MM KIOSK
2014
This design was created for a construction and materials fair for a woodworking design workshop and has won second place.
The structure is built considering the processing of industrial wood and flexibility in design capacity. The relationship between visitors and the kiosk, which resembles a sculpture, has not only been designed visually but also functionally. The kiosk has a storage area and a mini bar in this space, and the feet resting on the ground in the flow of the form also turn into a table, creating a welcoming and dining area. Its porous structure provides shading opportunities depending on the time of day. The aim is to reduce waste left behind by fairs to zero. This structure is intended to be used in another outdoor area after the fair, functionally. If not used, the components can be disassembled and new parts can be produced, in dimensions that allow for the extraction of new parts.
